Horw is a town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It is part of the canton of Lucerne. Horw is known for its beautiful setting near the city of Lucerne and Lake Lucerne.

The town is located on the edge of Lucerne. It sits on a piece of land that sticks out into Lake Lucerne, called the Horwer peninsula. Horw also includes the lower slopes of Mount Pilatus.

Train Services
The town is served by Horw station. This station is on the Brünig railway line and the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg line. The Lucerne S-Bahn (a local train system) has services S4, S5, and S41 (during busy times). These trains provide at least four connections per hour at the station.

Buses from VBL Verkehrsbetriebe Luzern also connect Horw to Lucerne and Kriens. The main bus lines are 20, 21, 14, and 16.
