Hosingen (which is called Housen in Luxembourgish) is a charming small village located in the northern part of Luxembourg. For many years, it was also the name of a local government area known as a "commune." You can think of a commune as being similar to a small town or district that has its own local council and administration.
Where is Hosingen?
Hosingen is found in the northern region of Luxembourg. It used to be part of the canton of Clervaux. A canton is like a larger administrative area, grouping several communes together.
A New Beginning: Parc Hosingen
Something important happened to Hosingen on January 1, 2012. On this date, the commune of Hosingen joined together with two other nearby communes, Consthum and Hoscheid. These three areas merged to create a brand new, larger commune called Parc Hosingen. This merger helped to combine resources and services for the people living there.
