The town of Hudson got its start a long time ago. A post office opened here in 1907. The town was named after John T. Hudson. He was the person who first owned the land where the town was built.

The Yablonski Memorial Library is also in town. It reopened in November 2024. You can visit it on Mondays from 2 PM to 6 PM. This building used to be a meeting hall for a workers' union. It was named in honor of Jock Yablonski.
