Humanes de Madrid covers an area of about 19.46 square kilometers. The land here is mostly flat. The highest point is a hill called Cerro del Lomo, which is about 700 meters (2,300 feet) above sea level. The lowest point is around 644 meters (2,113 feet) near a stream called Arroyo de las Arroyadas.
History of Humanes de Madrid
Humanes de Madrid is quite an old town. It was first mentioned in a document from the year 1141. In this document, King Alfonso VII gave the town to its first owner, known as its "Lord." For a long time, Humanes was part of the larger area known as the Land of Toledo.
