Hunter Djali Yumunu Page-Lochard is an Australian actor. He acts in plays and on TV and in movies. Hunter has both Aboriginal Australian and African-American family roots. He is famous for his parts in movies like The Sapphires (2012) and Around the Block (2013). He also starred in the TV show Cleverman (2016).

Hunter Page-Lochard's Early Life and Schooling
Hunter Page-Lochard was born in Sydney, Australia. His dad is Stephen Page from Brisbane. His mum is Cynthia Lochard from Manhattan, USA.
Hunter's mum, Cynthia, has African-American family. She used to be a dancer for the New York City Ballet. Now, she teaches a fitness method called Pilates Method.
Hunter's dad, Stephen, is from the Nunukul and Munaldjali people. These groups are part of the Yugambeh people from southeast Queensland. Stephen was also a dancer. He later became a choreographer, which means he creates dance routines. He was the boss, or artistic director, for the Bangarra Dance Theatre.
Hunter went to St Mary's Cathedral College, Sydney. In 2012, he finished a course in screenwriting at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. He also took an acting course at the National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Acting on Stage
Hunter started acting on stage when he was very young. He was just six months old! His dad held him while dancing in a show.
Later, he appeared in several plays:
- Skin (2000)
- Boomerang (2005)
- Bloodland (2012) for the Sydney Theatre Company
- Blak (2013)
In 2014, he was in Black Diggers. This play was made by the Queensland Theatre Company. He then played the main character in Brothers Wreck (2014). This play was at Belvoir theatre in Sydney. He also acted in Sugarland (2014) for ATYP.
Hunter won the Best Newcomer Award at the Sydney Theatre Awards. This was for his work in Black Diggers, Brothers Wreck, and Sugarland. He was also nominated for a Helpmann Award in 2015 for Brothers Wreck. In 2015, he played Orestes in the play Elektra/Orestes.
Acting in Movies and TV Shows
As a child, Hunter was in short films. These included Arcadia (2002) and The Djarn Djarns (2005). The Djarn Djarns won an award at the Berlin International Film Festival.
He also had small parts in TV shows:

Hunter's first big movie role was in Bran Nue Dae (2010). He was also in The Sapphires (2012). This movie was shown at the famous Cannes Film Festival. He played the main role in Around the Block (2013). In this movie, he acted alongside Christina Ricci.
In 2015, Hunter went to the Toronto International Film Festival. This was for his dad's first movie, Spear (2015). Hunter played the main character, Djali, in this film.
Hunter Page-Lochard was the main actor in the TV show Cleverman (2016). It was shown on ABC Television.
In 2017, he directed and helped write his own short film called Djali. It was shown at the Sydney Film Festival in 2018. In 2020, he acted in and helped direct Thalu. This was a TV show for children.
In 2023, Hunter was in the ABC drama The Newsreader. He won an AACTA Award for best supporting actor for his role.
Advertising Work
Hunter Page-Lochard also appeared in a TV ad for Hyundai in 2022. The ad was called "Have you tried it?". It was filmed in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia.
