Husri is a town and a local government area called a union council. It is found in the Hyderabad District of the Sindh province in Pakistan. This town is part of the rural Taluka of Hyderabad. You can find it southeast of the city of Hyderabad.
Husri is quite old, possibly over 100 years. It is located close to Bihar Colony, a well-known housing area. The town is important in the local politics of Hyderabad and even in the Sindh province.
People and History
Husri is home to many local people from the Sindh region. Many of these residents work in farming. After the Partition of India in 1947, many people from Bihar District in India moved to Husri. A large number of Hindu families settled here. These communities still live in the town today.
The town's population is very diverse. It includes people from different backgrounds like Muhajirs, Sindhis, Biharis, and Hindus. Everyone in Husri helps make the town special. This includes religious leaders, shopkeepers, business people, and students.
Life in Husri
Husri is known for selling many different items, like clothes and toys. It also attracts various politicians from Sindh. The town is very active in political discussions. Most people in Husri support the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Sometimes, people in towns like Husri face challenges getting enough healthy food. Their daily meals might not have all the important nutrients. This can affect their health and learning over time. However, wealthier residents often travel to Hyderabad city. They buy groceries, medicines, furniture, and building supplies there. This helps improve life in Husri.

Town Improvements
In 2020, there were plans to improve Husri's roads. Workers aimed to build new roads using stone blocks inside the town. However, making the town's roads better is hard. This is because many houses were built without a plan over the years. These houses often block future road space.
Because of this, many small streets are getting narrower. In 2020 and 2021, Pakistani Government officials started operations to remove buildings that were on government land. This was done to clear main roads. These actions changed how residents lived and affected the town's look.
Looking Ahead
Husri is growing quickly. Empty land plots are being sold to local residents. Experts believe that in the future, perhaps by 2030, Husri will join with nearby areas. These include the housing society of Bihar Colony (Hyderabad) and Goth Jarro Panhwar.
