Hüniken is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Wasseramt district in the canton of Solothurn.

History of Hüniken
Hüniken is quite old! It was first mentioned in historical records around the years 1263-1264. Back then, its name was written as P. de Hunnechoven.
Geography of Hüniken
Hüniken covers an area of about 1.01 square kilometers (0.39 square miles). A large part of this land, about 77.2%, is used for farming. This means you'll see many fields and pastures.
About 15.8% of Hüniken is covered by forests. The remaining 6.9% of the land is where buildings and roads are located.
The town is built on a type of land formation called a ground moraine. The houses in Hüniken are spread out, especially around the Chapel of St. Michael, and they extend towards the nearby town of Etziken.
