"I'm a Gummy Bear (The Gummy Bear Song)" is a fun and catchy dance song. It was created by a cartoon character named Gummibär. The song is about a gummy bear, which is a sweet, chewy candy shaped like a bear. These candies first came from Germany.

A German composer named Christian Schneider wrote the song. Gummybear International, Gummibär's own music label, released it. The song first became popular in Hungary. It was the number one ringtone there for eight months!

Later, the song became famous all over the world. This happened mostly because of its videos on YouTube and MySpace. It spread like wildfire, becoming a huge Internet meme. An Internet meme is something, like a video or picture, that becomes very popular online and is shared widely. The song has been released in at least 25 different languages. It has been played over 2 billion times worldwide!

The French version of the song is called "Funny Bear." Peter Kitsch wrote this version. The French music video is also very popular. It has over 480 million views on YouTube as of 16 September  2021 (2021 -09-16). This makes it one of the top 10 most-watched French videos on the site. It even reached number eight on the French Singles Chart.

One person said that Gummibär is "the ultimate cross-platform, cross-cultural phenomenon YouTube was designed to unleash." This means the song and character are popular everywhere and on many different types of media. The song is on Gummibär's first album, I Am Your Gummy Bear, which came out in 2007. Since then, Gummibär has released many other songs. This includes a cover of "Blue (Da Ba Dee)".

The Gummy Bear Music Video

There are music videos for the song in at least 43 languages. In these videos, the main character, Gummibär, wears orange underwear. He bounces and breakdances around.

Gummibär is a very special cartoon character. He is plump and wears orange briefs and white sneakers. It looks like a small piece of his upper left ear is missing, as if he's been nibbled! His muzzle, which is like a bear's nose and mouth area, looks sugar-coated. He only has two small teeth that are far apart on his lower jaw.

The main music video has over 2.4 billion views on YouTube as of May 2021. This makes it one of the top 50 most-watched videos on the entire site!

In 2006, the video was made using CGI. This means it was created with computers. It was a 30-second pop video. Pete Dodd directed, designed, and animated it. Wilfilm in Copenhagen produced it for Ministry of Sound GmbH in Berlin.
