IK Oddevold is a Swedish football club from Uddevalla. The name "Oddevold" is actually an older way to say Uddevalla. Long ago, Uddevalla was part of Norway. Its name comes from the original Norwegian word "Oddevald."

The club was started on July 3, 1932. Today, IK Oddevold plays in Superettan, which is Sweden's second-highest football league. They play most of their home games at a stadium called Rimnersvallen. They also have a new training place called Thordéngården, where they play friendly matches.

Climbing the Ranks

In 1995, the team won their league, Division 1 Södra. This big win meant they were promoted to the top league in Sweden, called Allsvenskan. It was a huge achievement for the club!

IK Oddevold played in Allsvenskan in 1996. This is the highest level of football in Sweden. Even though they were relegated that year, playing at the top level was a memorable experience.
