I Got a Rocket is a fun animated TV show about a boy named Vincent, also known as "Vinnie." For his 13th birthday, Vinnie gets an amazing present: a talking rocket! This special rocket becomes Vinnie's best friend. It loves to help him out with all sorts of situations.
The show is based on a book written by Matt Zurbo. It first aired on December 1, 2006, and finished on February 1, 2007. Even though the series was short, it won a special award. In 2008, it received an Emmy Award for "New Approaches - Daytime Children's Entertainment."
Meet the Characters
Main Friends
- Rocket (voiced by Thomas Bromhead): Rocket is Vinnie's super energetic and unique best friend. He's an orange and blue rocket who was invented just for Vinnie's 13th birthday. Rocket is always ready to help Vinnie, even if he sometimes gets a bit too confident! He often says, "You Got it, V-Man!"
- Vincent Q/Vinnie (voiced by Jamie Oxenbould in Australia, and Thomas Bromhead in the U.S.): Vinnie is a 13-year-old boy whose life changes when he gets Rocket. Thanks to Rocket, Vinnie becomes more popular at school. However, a group of siblings called The Duckys often give him a wedgie. Vinnie also gets a bit shy around Maya Kovsky, who he really likes.
Other Cool Characters
- Professor Quigley Q (voiced by Marcello Fabrizi): He is Vinnie's dad and a super genius. Professor Q often uses big scientific words when he talks. It's a funny part of the show that he'll use words like "degrees" in everyday phrases, even when he's just saying, "I'm proud of you, son!"
- Crystal Q (voiced by Rachel King): Crystal is Vinnie's sister.
- Ma Ducky (voiced by Drew Forsythe): Ma Ducky is the mom of the three bullying Ducky kids. She works as the lunch lady and librarian at Vinnie's school. She doesn't like Vinnie and Rocket and often ignores her children's bad behavior.
- Biffo Ducky (voiced by Drew Forsythe): Biffo is the biggest and strongest of the Ducky siblings.
- Scuds Ducky (voiced by Drew Forsythe): Scuds is known as the least smart of the Ducky triplets.
- Frankie Ducky (voiced by Rachel King): Frankie is the leader of the Duckys and the only girl among them.
- VP Stern (voiced by Marcello Fabrizi): VP Stern is a teacher and the vice principal at Inner City School. This is the school where Vinnie, Gabby, and Rainbow all study.
- Gabby (voiced by Trilby Glover): Gabby is one of Vinnie's friends.
- Rainbow (voiced by Unknown): Rainbow is another friend of Vinnie.
- Maya Kovsky (voiced by Trilby Glover): Maya is the girl Vinnie has a crush on. She also works as a waiter at Joe's Milk Bar, which is Vinnie's favorite place to eat.
- Captain O'Cheese/Pirate (voiced by Drew Forsythe): This is a pirate character who drives a pirate ship right on the streets!
