In 1775, he traveled with his parents, Domingo Alviso and Maria Angela Trejo, and his siblings. They were part of the famous de Anza Expedition. This journey helped to explore and settle new areas in what is now California. The family traveled all the way to San Francisco. Sadly, Ignacio's father passed away a year after they arrived.
Life as a Soldier and Rancher
Ignacio Alviso grew up to become a soldier. He served in the San Francisco Company from 1805 to 1819. This means he helped protect the area and keep order.
