Iloca, Chile facts for kids
Iloca is a small town right by the ocean in Chile. It's part of a bigger area called Licantén, in the Curicó Province, which is in the Maule Region. You can find it about 120 kilometers (about 75 miles) west of the city of Curicó.
In 2002, about 345 people lived in Iloca. But during the summer, many more people come to visit, so the town gets much busier!
Iloca faced a big challenge in 2010. A strong earthquake hit Chile, and then a huge ocean wave called a tsunami reached the coast. These events caused a lot of damage, and about 70% of the buildings in Iloca were destroyed.
The closest big city to Iloca is Constitución, Chile.
