Imogene is a small place in Minnesota, USA, that isn't officially a town or city. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government.
You can find Imogene in Martin County. It's located right on Minnesota State Highway 262. This spot is about two miles south of a town called Granada and the big highway I-90.
History of Imogene
Imogene was officially planned and laid out in the year 1900. This process is called "platting," which means creating a map of land that shows where streets, lots, and other areas will be.
The community was named after a character from a famous play. It got its name from Imogen, who is a character in William Shakespeare's play Cymbeline.
A post office was opened in Imogene in 1901. It was known by the name "Imogen" at that time. The post office helped people send and receive mail for over a decade. It stayed open until 1913, when it closed down.
