The Story of Granada
The town of Granada got its name from a famous city in Spain, also called Granada. A post office opened here way back in 1891. This means people have been living and sending mail from Granada for a long time!

Granada is a small city in Martin County, Minnesota. It's easy to find, just one mile north of a big highway called Interstate 90. The city is about 8 miles northeast of Fairmont, which is the main town in the county.

Granada covers an area of about 0.57 square miles (1.48 square kilometers). All of this area is land. A small stream called Center Creek flows through the southern part of the city. This creek eventually joins the Blue Earth River.
