Indira Joshi (born July 18, 1986) is a famous Nepali singer. She is known for her modern and pop songs. Indira is also a judge on the popular TV show Nepal Idol. She became well-known after releasing her first album, "Dance With Me." Her song "Rato Ghanghara" from that album made her very popular.

Early Life and Education
Indira Joshi was born on July 18, 1986. She is the fifth of seven children. Her parents are Mr. Janhawi Prasad Joshi and Mrs. Alaknanda Joshi. They lived in Nawalparasi District, Nepal.
A Childhood Full of Music
From a young age, Indira loved music. She often joined local singing and dancing contests. She was always chosen to perform at her school and other local events.
School Days
Indira went to Little Plant English Boarding School until fifth grade. Then she moved to Sayapatri Higher Secondary English School. She completed her SLC (School Leaving Certificate) there. Later, she studied at Peoples Campus and Shankher Dev Campus. She also earned her master's degree from Golden Gate International. As a child, she played at Bal Mandir, a children's playground near her home.
Musical Journey
When Indira was in fifth grade, she came to Kathmandu. She joined a TV singing contest called Ko Bhanda Ko Kam on Nepal Television. This show was very popular for kids back then. After winning first place, she wanted to learn more about singing. However, she was too young, so her parents did not let her stay in Kathmandu.
Starting Her Career
Indira returned to Kathmandu after finishing her SLC. At age 17, she joined another TV singing contest called Nepali Tara. This was a popular talent show at the time. She earned the top female position in the show. Nepali Tara helped introduce her to the public.
First Album and Success
In 2011, Indira released her first album, "Dance With Me." Making this album was not easy. She spent a lot of money on songs, but some musicians did not finish their work. On her third try, she finally succeeded. She released "Dance With Me" on March 25, 2011. She also took vocal classes at Do Re Mi Music School in Kathmandu.
Judging and Collaborations
Indira is a judge on the international reality show Nepal Idol. She has also judged other shows. These include Clinic Healthy Hair Contest for kids and Miss Nepal 2016. She also judged Man Hunt Nepal 2017.

Indira Joshi's first album, "Dance With Me," came out in 2011. Her song "Chaubandi Choli ani Rato Ghanghara" from this album became very popular. After that, she started releasing single songs with music videos.
