The ISEG group is a collection of business schools in France. Its name in French means "Advanced European Institute of Management." It helps students learn about business, especially how to start their own companies.

The group includes two main schools: ISEG Marketing & Communication School and ISG Programme Business & Management. The first school started in 1980. The second one was formed in 2014. This happened when ISEG Business School and ISEG Finance School, both also founded in 1980, joined together.

In September 2017, ISEG Business & Finance School became part of the Business & Management program of the ISG Business School. The ISEG group has campuses in several French cities. These include Paris, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Strasbourg, and Toulouse.

History of ISEG Group

Starting in Paris and Expanding

The Institut supérieur européen de gestion first opened in 1980 in Paris. Over the years, it grew and opened more campuses. New locations were added in Bordeaux (1986) and Toulouse (1987).

Then, campuses opened in Lille (1988), Nantes (1989), and Strasbourg (1989). Finally, a campus in Lyon was established in 1990. This helped the school reach more students across France.

Growing the Study Programs

In 1990, ISEG introduced new study programs. These programs were for students in their fourth and fifth years after high school. In 1996, ISEG Paris moved to a new building in Rue des Francs-Bourgeois. A year later, in 1997, ISEG Bordeaux opened its own new campus.

In 2001, the school launched the concours PRISM, which is a special entrance exam. New five-year study programs were introduced in 2002. Between 2003 and 2004, new buildings were opened in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, and Toulouse. A new building in Strasbourg followed in 2007.

Forming a Group of Schools

By 2010, the ISEG Group was officially created. This brought together three separate schools under one group. These schools offer degrees that are recognized at a high level in France. They are also members of important international business school associations.

In September 2014, a new campus opened in Paris in the Le Marais-Bastille area. This campus was designed to be modern and focus on digital learning. It brought together the ISEG group with other schools like Sup'Internet and E-Artsup.

Recent Mergers and Changes

In September 2014, ISEG Business School and ISEG Finance School joined forces. They created a new school called ISEG Business & Finance School. This merger helped combine their strengths.

Later, in September 2017, ISEG Business & Finance School merged again. It joined with the Business & Management program of the ISG Business School. These changes helped the ISEG group offer even more study options to its students.
