Where is Inverness Highlands South?
Inverness Highlands South is located in the eastern part of Citrus County. You can find it at these coordinates: 28°47′58″N 82°19′50″W / 28.79944°N 82.33056°W. It sits right next to the southern border of Inverness, which is the main city in the county.
Part of its western edge is next to the Withlacoochee State Forest, a large natural area. The community covers a total area of about 14.6 square kilometers (about 5.6 square miles). Most of this area is land, with only a very small part (about 0.21%) being water.
