Inverurie is a historic town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is known as a Royal Burgh, which is a special title given to towns by the Scottish King or Queen many years ago. Inverurie is about 16 miles (26 km) northwest of Aberdeen.
The town is located on the A96 road, which is a main route. It is also on the Northern Express Railway Route, connecting Aberdeen to Inverness. If you need to fly, the closest airport is Aberdeen International Airport at Dyce.
