Isabella is a small, quiet place in Lake County, Minnesota. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and buildings, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, the larger county or township helps manage things.
Isabella is located about 27 miles (43 km) north of Silver Bay. It's also about 40 miles (64 km) southeast of Ely. You can find it where Minnesota State Highway 1 meets Forest Road 172. This area is deep inside the beautiful Superior National Forest.
