Isaiah De Vonte Cousins (born March 13, 1994) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for Inter Bratislava in the Slovak Basketball League (SBL) and the European North Basketball League (ENBL). Isaiah is a versatile player, often playing as a point guard or shooting guard. He played college basketball for the University of Oklahoma before starting his professional career. He has played for teams in the NBA G League, France, and Israel.

High School Basketball Star
Isaiah Cousins played high school basketball at Mount Vernon. His coach was Bob Cimmino. In his senior year, he was a key player. He averaged 15.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 3.0 steals per game.
He helped Mount Vernon achieve a great 23–3 record. They also won their second straight New York Public High School Athletic Association Class AA state championship. When he graduated, he was named "Mr. Basketball" for New York's Section 1.
College Career at Oklahoma
Isaiah Cousins, from Mount Vernon, New York, was a promising player in high school. He played four seasons for the Oklahoma Sooners. For most of his college career, he played as a shooting guard.
In his senior year, he switched to playing point guard. He teamed up with Buddy Hield to lead the Sooners to the Final Four. During this season, he averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. His strong performance earned him a spot on the third-team All-Big 12.
Professional Basketball Journey
Isaiah Cousins began his professional basketball career after college. He was picked by the Sacramento Kings in the 2016 NBA draft. He was the 59th overall pick.
NBA G League and Early Teams
After being drafted, Cousins joined the Kings for the 2016 NBA Summer League. He later signed with the Kings but was waived before the season started. He then joined the Reno Bighorns in the NBA Development League (now NBA G League).
In 2017, his rights were traded to the Salt Lake City Stars. He played for them during the 2017–2018 season. In April 2018, he briefly played for Cholet Basket in France. He returned to the Salt Lake City Stars for the 2018–2019 season.
Playing Overseas
Cousins then moved to play basketball in other countries. In 2019, he signed with Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel. He played with his former college teammate, TaShawn Thomas, there.
After leaving Jerusalem, he played for Peristeri in Greece in 2020. He then returned to Israel to play for Hapoel Gilboa Galil from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, he signed with Aris in Greece, but an injury prevented him from playing.
In 2022, he played for Kalev/Cramo in Estonia. He also had another short stint in the NBA G League with the Maine Celtics. Later in 2022, he signed with Maccabi Rishon LeZion in Israel. In 2023, he played for Hapoel Haifa, also in Israel.
More recently, he played for Krka in Slovenia in 2023–2024 and KK Bosna in Bosnia in 2024. He now plays for Inter Bratislava in Slovakia.
Personal Life
Isaiah Cousins is the son of Lisa Cousins. He studied human relations in college.
