Isaiah Hassan Crowell (born January 8, 1993) is a former professional football player. He was a running back known for carrying the ball. Isaiah played college football at two universities: Georgia and Alabama State. Later, the Cleveland Browns signed him in 2014, even though he wasn't chosen in the main draft.

Early Life and High School Sports
Isaiah Crowell grew up in Columbus, Georgia. He went to George Washington Carver High School, where he was a star in both football and track & field.
High School Football Achievements
During his time playing for the Carver Tigers football team, Isaiah was an amazing runner. He rushed for a total of 4,872 yards and scored 61 touchdowns. Experts thought he was one of the best running backs coming out of high school.
Track and Field Talents
Isaiah was also a talented athlete on the track team. He competed in sprinting and long-distance running events for all four years of high school. In 2009, he won the 100-meter dash with his fastest time of 10.91 seconds.
College Football Journey
Playing for the Georgia Bulldogs
In 2011, Isaiah Crowell joined the University of Georgia football team as a freshman. He quickly became the starting running back. In one exciting game against South Carolina, he rushed for 118 yards and scored two touchdowns.
He had many strong performances that season. For example, he rushed for 147 yards against Ole Miss and 104 yards against Mississippi State. He also helped Georgia win against their rival, Florida, by rushing for 81 yards.
Later in the season, he rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown against Auburn. Isaiah finished his freshman year with 850 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He was even named the freshman of the year by The Associated Press.
Moving to Alabama State
In July 2012, Isaiah transferred to Alabama State University. He continued to play football there.
2012 Season Highlights
During the 2012 season, Isaiah had many great games. One notable game was against Alcorn State, where he rushed for 127 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown run. He was the leading rusher for the Alabama State Hornets that year.
2013 Season Success
In the 2013 season, Isaiah helped Alabama State achieve a good record. He finished the year with an impressive 1,121 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. His best game was against Jackson State, where he rushed for 179 yards. After this successful season, Isaiah decided to try for the NFL draft.

Professional Football Career
Even though many thought he would be drafted, Isaiah Crowell was not picked in the 2014 NFL draft. However, the Cleveland Browns quickly signed him as a free agent.
Time with the Cleveland Browns
2014 Rookie Season
In his first year with the Browns, Isaiah shared playing time with other running backs. In his very first NFL game, he ran for 32 yards and scored two touchdowns. He finished his rookie season with 607 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. He was one of the top rookie running backs that year.
2015 Season Performance
In 2015, Isaiah continued to be a key player for the Browns. In one game, he had a career-high 62 receiving yards, including a long 53-yard catch. He also scored his first touchdown from a pass. Later in the season, he rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers. He ended the season with 706 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
2016 Season Highlights
The 2016 season was Isaiah's best with the Browns. He led the team in rushing yards and touchdowns. In Week 2, he had an amazing 85-yard touchdown run, which was one of the longest in Browns history! He finished that game with 133 yards. He also had 112 rushing yards in Week 4 and 152 yards in the final game of the season. Isaiah finished 2016 with a career-high 952 rushing yards.
2017 Season Overview
In 2017, Isaiah continued to be the main running back for the Browns. He had 118 total yards in a game against the Minnesota Vikings. In Week 14, he rushed for a season-high 121 yards. He finished the 2017 season with 853 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Joining the New York Jets
In March 2018, Isaiah Crowell signed a three-year contract with the New York Jets.
2018 Season with the Jets
In his first game with the Jets, Isaiah rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns, including a 62-yard run. Later, in Week 5, he had an incredible game against the Denver Broncos. He rushed for 219 yards, which set a new record for the Jets franchise! He even scored a 77-yard touchdown run in that game. For his amazing performance, he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. He finished the 2018 season with 685 rushing yards and six touchdowns.
In March 2019, the Jets released Isaiah Crowell.
Brief Time with the Oakland Raiders
On March 28, 2019, Isaiah signed a one-year contract with the Oakland Raiders. However, he suffered a serious injury to his Achilles tendon during a team workout in April. This injury meant he could not play in the 2019 season and ultimately ended his professional football career.
