Early Life and High School Football
Isaiah Spiller grew up in Spring, Texas. He went to Klein Collins High School. During his time there, he was a star player. He gained over 3,500 yards and scored 53 touchdowns.
In 2019, Isaiah played in the Under Armour All-America Game. This is a special game for top high school football players. After high school, he decided to play college football at Texas A&M University.
Isaiah wears jersey number 28. He chose this number to honor CJ Spiller, another famous NFL running back. Even though they are not related, Isaiah looked up to C. J. and dreamed of playing in the NFL like him.
College Football Career
Isaiah Spiller started playing for the Texas A&M Aggies in 2019. He was a "true freshman," meaning it was his first year in college. He started in nine out of 13 games.
He ran for 946 yards and scored 10 touchdowns that year. Because of his great performance, he was named Freshman All-SEC. The SEC is a very strong college sports conference.
In 2020, his second year, he continued as a starter. He rushed for 1,036 yards and 9 touchdowns. He was named to the All-SEC Coaches' first team.
After his 2021 season, where he ran for 1,011 yards and 6 touchdowns, Isaiah decided to enter the 2022 NFL draft. He chose to skip the 2021 Gator Bowl to prepare for the draft.
Professional Football Journey
Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers chose Isaiah Spiller in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He was the 123rd player picked overall.
He played for the Chargers in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. On August 27, 2024, the Chargers let him go. He was then re-signed to their practice squad, but released a few days later.
Las Vegas Raiders
On December 18, 2024, Isaiah Spiller joined the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the team on January 6, 2025. However, on April 25, 2025, the Raiders waived him.
