Isaiah Spiller, born on August 9, 2001, is an American professional football player. He plays as a running back for the Las Vegas Raiders in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the pros, he played college football at Texas A&M University. The Los Angeles Chargers first picked him in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Isaiah Spiller grew up in Spring, Texas. He went to Klein Collins High School. During his time there, he gained 3,587 yards and scored 53 touchdowns. These are impressive numbers for a high school player.
In 2019, Spiller was chosen to play in the Under Armour All-America Game. This game features some of the best high school football players in the country. After high school, he decided to play college football at Texas A&M University.
Spiller wears the number 28 on his jersey. He chose this number to honor CJ Spiller, another famous NFL running back. Even though they are not related, Isaiah looked up to C. J. and dreamed of playing in the NFL himself.
College Football Career
In 2019, Isaiah Spiller started his college career at Texas A&M. As a true freshman, he played in 13 games and started nine of them. He ran for 946 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. Because of his great performance, he was named freshman All-SEC.
He continued to be a starter in his second year, 2020. That season, he rushed for 1,036 yards and 9 touchdowns. His excellent play earned him a spot on the All-SEC Coaches' first team.
In 2021, Spiller had another strong season, rushing for 1,011 yards and 6 touchdowns. On December 14, 2021, he announced that he would enter the 2022 NFL draft. This meant he would skip the 2021 Gator Bowl to prepare for his professional career.
Professional Football Career
Playing for the Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers selected Isaiah Spiller in the 2022 NFL Draft. He was picked in the fourth round, as the 123rd overall player. He joined the team and began his professional journey.
On August 27, 2024, the Chargers decided to waive Spiller. This means they removed him from their main roster. However, they re-signed him to their practice squad shortly after. He was released from the practice squad a few days later.
Joining the Las Vegas Raiders
On December 18, 2024, Isaiah Spiller found a new team. He was signed to the practice squad of the Las Vegas Raiders. This gave him another chance to play in the NFL.
Later, on January 6, 2025, Spiller signed a reserve/future contract with the Raiders. This type of contract means he will be part of the team for the upcoming season.
