Early Life and Education
Ishani Shrestha grew up in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Her parents are also from Kathmandu. She has three younger brothers and sisters. Ishani went to Triyog High School in Kathmandu for her early education.
Later, she moved to Boulder, Colorado in the United States. She finished high school at Fairview High School in 2009. After that, she studied business at the University of Colorado. Ishani also tried studying dentistry for a while in Kathmandu but decided to change her path.

Becoming Miss Nepal
In 2013, Ishani traveled from Colorado, United States, to compete in the Miss Nepal 2013 pageant. She won the main title, becoming Miss Nepal World 2013. She also won a special award called Miss Catwalk during the competition.
