Water Flow from Island Lake

Island Lake plays a small but important role in the local water system. It is one of the sources for Lamoille Creek. This creek flows out of the mountains and passes through the town of Lamoille.

After winding through Lamoille Valley, Lamoille Creek eventually joins the main branch of the Humboldt River. The Humboldt River is a major river in Nevada.
