Isobel Noeline Waller-Bridge was born in London, England. Her mother, Theresa Mary Waller-Bridge, worked for a company called the Worshipful Company of Ironmongers. Her father, Michael Cyprian Waller-Bridge, started an electronic trading platform.
Isobel has two younger siblings, Jasper and Phoebe. Phoebe is also a well-known writer and actress.
Isobel studied music at several top schools. She earned a bachelor's degree in music from Edinburgh University. She then received a master's degree from King's College London. She also earned a special diploma from the Royal Academy of Music.
Her Music Career
Isobel Waller-Bridge is a very busy composer. She has written music for many popular TV shows and films. One of her most famous works is the music for the BBC comedy-drama series Fleabag. Her sister, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, wrote and starred in this show.
She also composed music for feature films like Vita and Virginia (2018) and Emma (2020). In 2021, she created the score for Netflix's Munich: The Edge of War and The Phantom of the Open.
