Ivan Miljković (Serbian Cyrillic: Иван Миљковић; born September 13, 1979) is a famous Serbian businessman and a former professional volleyball player. He played for the Serbia men's national volleyball team from 1998 to 2012. Ivan is known for winning an Olympic gold medal in 2000. He also became a European Champion twice, in 2001 and 2011. Ivan Miljković has won many medals in major volleyball tournaments around the world.
After he stopped playing volleyball professionally, Ivan stayed involved in sports. He worked in different roles like management and marketing. He also went back to school to study business and finance.

Ivan Miljković's Volleyball Journey
Playing for Clubs
Ivan Miljković played for many top volleyball clubs during his career. After some early success, he joined the Italian club Lube Banca Macerata. With this team, he won the Champions League in 2001. They also won the Italian Cup twice and the CEV Cup three times.

In 2007, he moved to another Italian club, M. Roma Volley. The next year, he joined Olympiacos in Greece. With Olympiacos, he won the Greek Championship in 2009 and 2010. He also won the Greek Cup in 2009.
In 2010, Ivan signed with Fenerbahçe SK in Turkey. He had great success there, winning the Turkish volleyball league in 2011 and 2012. His team also won the Turkish Cup in 2012 and the Turkish Super Cup in 2011 and 2012. In 2014, they won the European Challenge Cup. Ivan played for Fenerbahçe until 2015.
He then returned to Italy to play for Cucine Lube Civitanova in 2015. In 2016, he went back to the Turkish League. Ivan Miljković ended his amazing playing career in May 2017. He retired after winning a gold medal in the Turkish Championship with the Halkbank Ankara team.
Playing for the National Team
Ivan Miljković first played for the national team of FR Yugoslavia in 1998. This was a game against Turkey. In 2000, at the Sydney Olympics, the Yugoslav national team won the Olympic gold medal. Ivan scored the final point in the championship game against Russia.
In March 2012, Ivan officially retired from the Serbian National Team. He had played for them for 14 years and appeared in 288 matches. He is the only player to win the "Most Valuable Player" award at the FIVB World League three times in a row (2002, 2003, 2004). He also won a total of four MVP awards at the FIVB World League (2002, 2003, 2004, 2006).
Ivan Miljković's Playing Style
Ivan Miljković was known for being one of the best spikers in volleyball. He had a very powerful jump serve. He was a strong player who could hit the ball with great force. He also had excellent technique, allowing him to make many different kinds of shots. Even though he was a big player, Ivan moved very well on the court. He had good footwork and was quick, which helped him get into position for his powerful attacks.
