Ivan Miljković (born September 13, 1979) is a Serbian businessman and a former professional volleyball player. He was a key member of the Serbia men's national volleyball team for 14 years, from 1998 to 2012.

Miljković is famous for winning an Olympic gold medal in 2000. He also won the European Championship twice, in 2001 and 2011. He earned many medals in other big tournaments like the World Championship and World League. Many people consider him one of the best volleyball players ever. He was especially known for his powerful hits and amazing skills as an "opposite hitter."

After he stopped playing, Miljković continued to be involved in sports. He worked in different roles like management and marketing. He also studied economics and finance.

Playing for Clubs

After his success, Ivan Miljković joined the Italian club Lube Banca Macerata. In 2001, his national team won the European Volleyball Championship. With Lube Banca Macerata, he also won the Champions League in 2001. They won the Italian Cup twice (2001, 2003) and the CEV Cup three times (2001, 2005, 2006).

In 2007, he signed with M. Roma Volley. The next year, in 2008, he moved to Olympiacos in Greece. There, he helped his team win the Greek Championship in 2009 and 2010, and the Greek Cup in 2009.

On June 30, 2010, he joined Fenerbahçe SK in Turkey. With Fenerbahçe, he won the Turkish volleyball league in 2011 and 2012. They also won the Turkish Cup in 2012 and the Turkish Super Cup in 2011 and 2012. In 2014, they won the European Challenge Cup.

Miljković played for Fenerbahçe Grundig until 2015. In 2015, he signed with the Italian club Cucine Lube Civitanova. He returned to the Turkish League in 2016. He finished his playing career in May 2017, winning a gold medal in the Turkish Championship with the Halkbank Ankara team.

Playing for the National Team

Ivan Miljković first played for the national team of FR Yugoslavia on October 4, 1998. This was in a game against Turkey.

In 2000, at the Sydney Olympics, the Yugoslav national team won the Olympic gold medal. Ivan Miljković scored the final point in the championship match against Russia. He was a key player in this historic win.

In March 2012, he officially retired from the Serbian National Team. He had played for 14 years and completed 288 matches. He is the only player to win the "Most Valuable Player" (MVP) award at the FIVB World League three times in a row (2002, 2003, 2004). He also won a total of four MVP awards at the FIVB World League (2002, 2003, 2004, 2006).

Miljković was known for being one of the best "spikers" in tournaments. He also had a very strong "jump serve." He was a powerful "opposite hitter" who could hit the ball with great force or use clever techniques. Even though he was a big player, Miljković moved surprisingly well on the court. He had good footwork and was quick, which helped him get into position for his powerful attacks.
