Prince Ivane Andronikashvili (Georgian: ივანე ანდრონიკაშვილი; Russian: Иван Малхазович Андронников, romanized: Ivan Malkhazovich Andronnikov; 1798 – November 19, 1868) was a brave general from Georgia. He served in the Russian Empire's army. He came from a noble Georgian family called Andronikashvili.
He was born in Qudaghlo, a place in the Kingdom of Kartli and Kakheti. His father was Prince Malkhaz Andronikashvili. His mother, Princess Mariam Bagrationi, was the sister of Solomon II of Imereti, who was the last king of Imereti. In 1801, the Kingdom of Kartli and Kakheti became part of the Russian Empire. Ivane himself married Princess Nino Imeretinsky. She was the granddaughter of King David II of Imereti.

Early Military Career
When Ivane Andronikashvili was 19 years old, he joined the St. Petersburg Cavalry Regiment. This was a special part of the Leib Guard. Seven years later, he moved to the Nizhny Novgorod cavalry regiment. He was given the rank of major.
Wars in the Caucasus
In 1826, the Russo-Persian War began. Ivane Andronikashvili took part in many important battles. He also served in the Caucasus region during wars against Persia (1826-1829) and Turkey (1828-1829).
In 1841, he was promoted to Major General. Later, in 1849, he became the Governor General of Tiflis. He also fought in the Caucasian War. He led military trips against the rebellious Ossetes in 1840 and 1850.
Crimean War Hero
The Crimean War was the most important time in Andronikashvili's military life. On November 14, 1853, he won a big victory at Akhaltsikhe. He had only 5,000 soldiers, mostly Georgian cavalrymen. With this small force, he defeated Ali Pasha's army of 20,000 men.
He achieved another amazing victory against Selim Pasha's 36,000 troops. This battle happened at the Choloki River. Prince Andronikashvili had only 13,000 soldiers. He was promoted to General of Cavalry just a few months before he passed away in 1868.
