Jabari Carl Bird (born July 3, 1994) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Taipei Fubon Braves in Taiwan's P. League+. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the California Golden Bears. The Boston Celtics picked him in the 2017 NBA draft.

High School Basketball Journey
Jabari Bird played high school basketball at Salesian High School. During his three years there, his team, the Pride, had an amazing record of 100 wins and only 8 losses. Jabari was recognized as a McDonald's All-American player. This means he was one of the best high school basketball players in the country in 2013. He was ranked as one of the top recruits in his class.
College Basketball Career
Jabari played college basketball for the University of California, Berkeley. In his final year, he averaged 14.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He was a key player for the team.
Professional Basketball Career
Playing for the Boston Celtics (2017–2019)
After college, the Boston Celtics chose Jabari Bird in the 2017 NBA draft. He was the 56th player picked overall. In September 2017, he signed a special contract called a two-way contract. This meant he could play for both the Celtics and their minor league team, the Maine Red Claws.
Jabari played his first professional game on October 20, 2017. It was against the Philadelphia 76ers. He played for 13 minutes and scored 3 points, helping the Celtics win. In February 2018, he was named to the Midseason All-NBA G League East Team. This was because he was playing very well for the Maine Red Claws. He averaged 19.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. On April 6, 2018, Jabari scored 15 points in a game against the Chicago Bulls. The Celtics re-signed him in July 2018.
Playing in Mexico (2023)
In 2023, Jabari joined the Rayos de Hermosillo team. They play in the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico (CIBACOPA) league in Mexico.
Playing in Indonesia (2023–2024)
Later in 2023, Jabari moved to Indonesia. He joined the Rajawali Medan team, which is a new team in the Indonesian Basketball League.
Playing in the Philippines (2024)
In September 2024, Jabari signed with the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots. This team plays in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He joined them for the 2024 PBA Governors' Cup.
Playing in Malaysia (2024–2025)
In December 2024, Jabari joined the Johor Southern Tigers. This team is part of the Major Basketball League Malaysia (MBL). He helped them win the MBL championship in 2025 and was named the MBL Finals MVP.
Playing in Taiwan (2025–Present)
On February 1, 2025, Jabari Bird signed with the Taipei Fubon Braves. He now plays for them in the P. League+ in Taiwan.

Personal Life
Jabari's father, Carl Bird, also played college basketball. He played for the California Golden Bears from 1974 to 1976. Carl was also chosen in the 1976 NBA draft. He played professionally in the Philippines. There, he was the first player in the Philippine Basketball Association to score more than 70 points in a single game!
