Early Life and First Steps in Acting
Jack Reynor was born in Longmont, Colorado, USA. His mother is Irish, and his father is American. When he was two years old, he moved with his mother to Valleymount, a village in County Wicklow, Ireland. He grew up there with his mother and grandparents.
Jack's interest in acting started very early. In 1999, when he was just seven years old, he played a small role as an altar boy in a film called Country. This experience sparked his passion for performing. In 2004, he moved to Dublin to attend Belvedere College. This was a private school where he took part in many school plays.

Breakthrough Roles in Film
In 2012, Jack starred in the film What Richard Did. He played Richard Karlsen, a popular high school rugby player whose life changes after a difficult event. Jack won an award for Best Actor at the Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) in 2013 for this role.
In 2013, he got a big role in the action movie Transformers: Age of Extinction. He played Shane, an Irish race car driver, alongside famous actors like Mark Wahlberg. This movie was released in 2014 and became a huge success worldwide. It earned over $1.1 billion and was one of the highest-grossing films ever.
After Transformers, Jack worked on Mowgli, a Netflix movie released in 2018. He worked with stars like Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett. This film used special technology to capture the actors' movements and expressions.
In 2015, Jack starred in Glassland. He played a young taxi driver trying to help his mother who was facing health issues. For his performance in Glassland, Jack won a special acting award at the Sundance Film Festival. He also appeared in the romantic comedy A Royal Night Out, playing a fictional romantic interest for the young Princess Elizabeth during the 1945 VE Day celebrations.
