Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel is a large entertainment complex in Minnesota. It has a casino and a hotel. It is located on the Lower Sioux Indian Reservation. This area is along the southern bank of the Minnesota River. It is also just south of the city of Morton.
The Lower Sioux Indian Community owns and runs this complex. The casino itself is about 46,520 square feet. The hotel has 379 rooms for guests. There is also a special park for recreational vehicles (RVs). Besides the casino and hotel, you can find several restaurants here. There is also a convention center for meetings. A golf course designed by Rees Jones is part of the complex. Plus, there are two places where you can watch live shows.
History of Jackpot Junction
Jackpot Junction holds a special place in Minnesota's history. It was the very first casino to open in the state.
The complex started small in 1984. Back then, it was just a bingo hall. Four years later, in 1988, they added more games. These included table games and slot machines. In 1995, a hotel section called The Lower Sioux Lodge was built. A convention center was added in 1996. By 1998, the casino became a sponsor for a racing tour.
More additions came in the early 2000s. An amphitheater for shows was built in 1999. In 2000, the Dacotah Ridge Golf Club opened. The Lower Sioux Lodge hotel also grew, reaching 276 rooms. In 2008, the complex got a new, bigger convention center. The hotel expanded again, bringing its total rooms to 379. The pool and spa areas were also updated.

When Jackpot Junction first opened in 1984, it was mainly a place for bingo. Over time, it grew to include many different types of games.
Slot Machines and Table Games
Today, Jackpot Junction has more than 1,000 video slot machines. These machines are a popular way to play games. The casino also has over 20 blackjack tables. Blackjack is a card game played against the dealer. There is also one poker table available. This table is in an older part of the casino.
