Jacqueline's Story
Early Life and Identity
Jacqueline was born Jackie Lynn White. Her parents, Fern (Sheri Foster) and Virgil White (Gil Birmingham), are part of the Lakota people, a Native American tribe. When she was younger, Jackie Lynn wanted to look different. She left her home, bought blue contact lenses, dyed her hair blonde, and changed her name to Jacqueline.
Life with Julian Voorhees
Jacqueline became a flight attendant. She met a very rich businessman named Julian Voorhees (Mark Harelik). They got married, and Jacqueline had a son named Buckley. Julian also had a daughter named Xanthippe (Dylan Gelula) from a previous marriage, who became Jacqueline's stepdaughter.
Julian was often away for work. This left Jacqueline at home with Buckley, Xanthippe, and their housekeeper. Buckley had a lot of energy, and Xanthippe could be a bit difficult. Jacqueline also enjoyed staying fit and had a cookbook published.
Later, Jacqueline hired Kimmy Schmidt to be her assistant and Buckley's new nanny. Jacqueline and Kimmy became good friends.
A New Start
Jacqueline decided to divorce Julian. This meant Xanthippe went to live with her birth mother, and Buckley stayed with Jacqueline. After the divorce, Jacqueline wanted to reconnect with her Native American heritage. She treasured a special morning star necklace from her grandmother.
She tried living back in her old home, but it didn't quite work out. So, she returned to New York City. There, she worked to keep her socialite status while also spending more time with Buckley. She also started using her influence to help Native American communities.
Fighting for Her Heritage
Jacqueline found out that her boyfriend, Russ Snyder's (David Cross) family, owned a professional football team called the Washington Redskins. She felt the team's name was disrespectful to her Lakota heritage. Jacqueline planned to convince Russ's family to change the name.
Russ suddenly proposed to her. Soon after, Russ was in an accident and got hurt. They got married while he was recovering. Jacqueline convinced Russ's father to change the team's name to the "Gun-Takers." She thought this new name would cause a stir and get people talking about the issue.
As Russ recovered, he became very attractive (now played by Billy Magnussen). He changed a lot and chose his family over Jacqueline, ending their marriage.
Becoming a Talent Agent
After helping Titus Andromedon get a job at a sports event, Jacqueline discovered a new career path: a talent agent. She started working in the same office building as Kimmy. However, she soon had to move in with Kimmy because she couldn't afford her own apartment anymore.
Jacqueline gained another client, Greg Kinnear, whose son studied with Buckley. She helped Titus get his dream job in The Lion King musical. But then, a rival agent named Eli Rubin (Zachary Quinto) tried to take Jacqueline's clients. Eli even rented the entire office space to make Jacqueline leave.
Despite their rivalry, Jacqueline and Eli started to like each other. Kimmy's arrival led Eli to share exciting news: Kimmy's book, The Legends of Greemulax, had become a big success! Jacqueline then signed Kimmy as her client. Eventually, both Titus and Kimmy became very successful, and Jacqueline became rich from her work as their agent.
Years later, Jacqueline was left alone on the set of Titus's new movie. She had to keep it a secret that Titus was away on a rescue mission with Kimmy. She was later seen celebrating at Kimmy's wedding.
