Jagger Geoffrey Eaton (born February 21, 2001) is an American professional skateboarder. He is known for competing in both street and park skateboarding events. Jagger made history as the youngest person to compete in the X Games when he was just 11 years old. His record was later broken in 2019.

In 2021, Eaton won the first ever Olympic skateboarding medal for the United States. He earned a bronze medal in the men's street competition at the Tokyo Olympics. In 2024, he won a silver medal in the men's street event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

Early Life and Family

Jagger Eaton grew up with his older brother, Jett. Their father, Geoff Eaton, owns a skateboarding school called Kids That Rip (KTR). This school helps train many young X Games competitors. Both Jagger and Jett started skateboarding at a very young age. Jagger began skateboarding when he was only four years old. His mother, Shelly Schaerer, was also a talented athlete. She was part of the United States national gymnastics team from 1985 to 1989.

Skateboarding Career Highlights

Jagger Eaton and his brother Jett, along with another young skater named Tom Schaar, were sponsored by DC Shoes in 2012. This was part of their "DC Youth Division" program. Experts in skateboarding, like Blair Alley from Transworld Skateboarding magazine, saw the brothers as the future of vert skating.

Jagger was featured in Esquire Magazine in October 2013. Some skateboarding commentators, including famous skater Bob Burnquist, have discussed young skaters like Eaton competing in professional events. They suggested that there should be separate divisions for junior skaters.

Jagger Eaton has also appeared on television shows. He was on episodes of Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness in January 2015. A reality TV series about his life, called Jagger Eaton's Mega Life, started in September 2016 on Nickelodeon. He also appeared on an episode of WWE SmackDown in a backstage segment.

Jagger's Sponsors

As of December 2022, Jagger Eaton has several sponsors. These include Cariuma Shoes, The Heart Supply Skateboards, Red Bull, Bones Wheels, Independent Truck Company, Mob Griptape, and KTR Skateboard School. These companies support him with gear and funding for his skateboarding career.

Competition History

Jagger Eaton first competed at the X Games in Los Angeles in 2012. He was only 11 years old, making him the youngest X Games competitor at that time. This broke the record previously held by Nyjah Huston. Later, in 2019, Gui Khury broke Eaton's record.

In December 2014, Jagger won the Tampa Am competition in Tampa, Florida. At 13 years old, he was one of the youngest skateboarders to win this event. In February 2015, he won the BoardrAm in Houston, Texas. This win earned him an invitation to the BoardrAm finals at the X Games 2015 in Austin, Texas.

In July 2021, Jagger Eaton won the bronze medal for the United States in Men's Street Skateboarding. This was at the Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan. In July 2024, he won the silver medal for the United States in Men's Street Skateboarding at the Paris Olympic Games in France.
