Skateboarding Career

In 2000, Bob won the X Games' best trick contest. He performed a famous "Fakie 5–0" with a "fakie kickflip" off a grind rail. This trick helped him win the competition.
One of Bob's biggest wins was in the vert contest at the 2001 X Games. He was in second place before his last run. He did a perfect run with many new tricks. The judges gave him a score of 98 out of 100. This was one of the highest scores ever in X Games skateboarding.
In 2006, Bob did an amazing stunt. He tried a 50-50 grind into the Grand Canyon and then performed a BASE jump. His first try was dangerous, but he recovered and opened his parachute. After some changes to the ramp, his second attempt was perfect.
Bob has won many medals at the Summer X Games. He holds the record for the most medals won by an individual, with 30 in total. These include 14 gold, 8 silver, and 8 bronze medals. He also shares the record for the most gold medals at the Summer X Games. Bob is the only person to have competed in every single X Games summer event from 1995 to 2017. He announced his retirement from the X Games in 2017.
Bob Burnquist's Dreamland
Bob Burnquist has a private skate park at his home in Vista, California. He calls it "Dreamland." The first part of his park was a wooden vert bowl, which was later made with concrete. Then he added a metal full pipe, a loop with a gap, and a corkscrew.
Many famous skateboarders have skated in the Vert Bowl. These include Tony Hawk, Rune Glifberg, and Bucky Lasek. The park has been shown in many magazines and videos.
The biggest part of Dreamland is the Megaramp. Bob's Megaramp is one of the few permanent Mega Ramps in the world. It has a huge gap jump, followed by a tall quarterpipe. Bob lets other professional skateboarders use the ramp. This helps them train for competitions and invent new tricks. Skaters like Elliot Sloan and Danny Way have used his ramp.
In 2013, a new hip ramp was added to the park. This was built for filming Bob's video called Dreamland. Bob and his sponsor, Oakley, released a video called Oakley's-Bob Burnquist's "Dreamland". All the video was filmed at his amazing Dreamland park.
