Jaime Javier Ayoví Corozo, born on February 21, 1988, is a talented football player from Ecuador. He is known for playing as a forward and currently plays for the team Emelec.

Jaime Ayoví's Club Football Journey

Jaime Ayoví started his football career at a smaller club called Paladín "S". In 2006, his cousin, Walter Ayoví, who was also a footballer, suggested he try out for Emelec. Jaime impressed the team and signed a four-year contract when he was just 18 years old.

Even though he is tall, Jaime often played as an open forward or a winger. He was very skilled with the ball and fast. He liked to run to the sides of the field where there was more space to move.

Playing for Manta and Emelec's Success

In 2009, Jaime was loaned to Manta to get more playing time and experience. He played well, scoring 7 goals in 32 matches in the Ecuadorian league.

The next season, Emelec's new manager, Jorge Sampaoli, saw Jaime's talent. Sampaoli asked for Jaime to stay with the team in 2010. Jaime quickly became the first-choice forward. He scored many important goals, helping Emelec win the first part of the 2010 Ecuadorian tournament. This led them to the final match in December 2010.

Moving to Mexican Football: Toluca and Pachuca

After the 2010 season, Jaime joined the Mexican team Toluca in 2011. He scored his first goal in his second game. He continued to score important goals for Toluca, including an impressive header against Santos Laguna.

After only half a season with Toluca, Jaime moved to another Mexican team, Pachuca. He scored his first goal for Pachuca in June 2011. He scored a total of 8 goals during his time with Pachuca.

Loan to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia

In 2012, Jaime was loaned to Al Nassr, a club in Saudi Arabia. He scored his first goal for Al Nassr in September. He scored 7 more goals, including two matches where he scored two goals. His season was cut short due to an injury that kept him out for eight months. He finished his time at Al Nassr with 8 goals in 15 matches.

Time with Club Tijuana and LDU Quito

After recovering from his injury, Jaime signed with the Mexican club Xolos de Tijuana. However, he was immediately loaned to the Ecuadorian team LDU Quito for a full season to regain his form.

Loan to LDU Quito

At LDU Quito, Jaime wore the number 11 jersey. He scored his first goals for the team in August 2013. He continued to score throughout the season, including two goals in a 3–1 win over Deportivo Quevedo.

Return to Tijuana and Loan to Godoy Cruz

Jaime returned to Tijuana in 2014 and scored his first goal for the club in March. Later that year, in August 2014, he was loaned to Godoy Cruz in Argentina for six months. He later joined Godoy Cruz permanently from 2015 to 2017.
