Jamal Carter (born April 12, 1994) is an American professional football player. He plays as a safety for the Arlington Renegades. This team is part of the United Football League (UFL). Before turning pro, he played college football for the University of Miami.
Jamal Carter's Early Life
Jamal Carter grew up in Miami, Florida. He played high school football at Miami Southridge High School. In his final year, 2012, he was a strong player. He made 73 tackles and caught one interception.
College Football Career
Carter played for the Miami Hurricanes. This is the team for the University of Miami. He played there from 2013 to 2016.
Playing for the Miami Hurricanes
Jamal played in 50 games during his college career. He started 15 of those games. He made a total of 165 tackles. He also had two interceptions and stopped 10 passes.

Playing for the Denver Broncos
Joining the Broncos in 2017
On May 11, 2017, the Denver Broncos signed Jamal Carter. He joined as an undrafted free agent. This means he was not picked in the draft but signed by a team afterward. He signed a three-year contract.
During training camp, Carter worked hard to earn a spot. He competed against other safeties. The team already had four safeties on the main roster. Many thought he would join the practice squad. But then, a starting strong safety was released. Carter had 19 tackles in the preseason. The coach named him the backup strong safety. He became one of the few undrafted players to make the Broncos' main team.
Carter's Rookie Season (2017)
Jamal played his first professional game on September 11, 2017. It was against the Los Angeles Chargers. In Week 3, he made his first career tackles. This happened during a game against the Buffalo Bills. He tackled a player returning a kick.
