Playing for the Denver Broncos
2017 Season Highlights
On May 11, 2017, the Denver Broncos signed Jamal Carter. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent, which means he wasn't chosen in the draft but was still signed by a team. He worked hard during training camp to earn a spot on the team. He played very well in preseason games, leading the Broncos with 19 tackles.
His strong performance helped him make the team's main roster. This was a big achievement, as he was one of only a few undrafted players to make the Broncos' team that year. He made his first professional game appearance in the Broncos' win against the Los Angeles Chargers. Later, in Week 3, he recorded his first career tackles against the Buffalo Bills. He finished his first season playing in all 16 games and made 11 tackles.
2018 and 2019 Seasons
In 2018, Carter faced a challenge when he suffered a torn hamstring injury. This injury caused him to be placed on injured reserve, meaning he couldn't play for the season. The Broncos later waived him (released him from the team) on August 31, 2019.
