James Gaylyn (born January 9, 1954) is an American actor and musician. He lives in New Zealand and is well-known for his many roles in the Power Rangers TV shows. These shows are American versions of a Japanese series called Super Sentai.
About James Gaylyn
James Gaylyn moved to New Zealand in 1981 with his wife, who was born there. Before becoming a famous actor, he was a talented blues singer and drummer. He has released music albums and toured in New Zealand and Australia. He also played drums on the international hit song "How Bizarre" by the band OMC.
James Gaylyn is most recognized around the world for his work on Power Rangers. He played Colonel Mason Truman in Power Rangers RPM. He has also done many voice-over roles and appeared on screen in different Power Rangers series since the show started being made in Auckland. His acting career also includes other big international projects. These include the movie Avatar and the Netflix TV series Cowboy Bebop.
James Gaylyn lives on the North Shore in Auckland. His son, Elijah, is also interested in music and wants to become a rapper.
