James Francis Kelleher (October 2, 1930 – June 2, 2013) was an important Canadian politician. He was a lawyer who became a Member of Parliament and later a Senator. He was known for his work in the Canadian government.

Early Life and Education
James Kelleher was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He went to Queen's University and earned a degree in 1952. Later, he studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School, finishing in 1956. After his studies, he became a lawyer.
Political Career
James Kelleher began his political journey in 1984. He was elected to the House of Commons of Canada. This is where elected representatives from across Canada meet to make laws. He represented the area of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party.
Serving in the Cabinet
