James Edward Shaw was an American football coach. He was born on April 2, 1938, and passed away in 2018. He coached football teams at both high school and college levels, helping many young players.

Early Life and Playing Days

James Shaw was born in Fayette, Alabama. He went to Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama. While there, he played football as a halfback. A halfback is a player who runs with the ball or blocks for other players.

Coaching Journey

After college, James Shaw started his coaching career. He became a very successful coach, known for his hard work and dedication.

High School Coaching

Shaw began coaching at Carver High School in Bessemer, Alabama. He had an amazing record there! His teams won 45 games, lost only 3, and tied 4 times. This shows how good he was at leading young athletes.
