James P. "Jim" White (born October 4, 1942 – died January 15, 2021) was an American politician. He served in the government of New Mexico. He was a member of the New Mexico Senate for District 19. Before that, he was in the New Mexico House of Representatives for District 20.

Jim White's Education Journey

Jim White started his political career in 2009. He was chosen to join the New Mexico House of Representatives. This happened after Richard J. Berry left his seat. Berry had been elected as the Mayor of Albuquerque.
White served in the House until 2014. He then decided not to run for re-election. In 2016, he was chosen by Governor Susana Martinez to serve in the New Mexico Senate. He took over the seat from Sue Wilson Beffort.
