Jamestown is a small village located in Greene County, Ohio, in the United States. In 2020, the village had a population of 2,052 people. Jamestown is also part of the larger Dayton area, which is known as the Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History of Jamestown
Jamestown was officially started in 1816. It was named after Jamestown, Virginia. This was because one of the very first settlers in the area came from that famous historic place.
Geography of Jamestown
Jamestown is located in Ohio. Parts of the village are found in different townships. These include Silvercreek, Ross, and New Jasper Townships.
The village covers a total area of about 1.17 square miles (3.03 square kilometers). All of this area is land. Jamestown is situated south of U.S. Route 35. It is also located on State Route 72. You can find it east of Lake Shawnee.
