Jasmine Todd, born on December 23, 1993, is an American track and field star. She is known for her amazing skills in the long jump and short sprint races. Her best long jump is 6.84 meters, and she can run the 100-meter dash in just 10.92 seconds.

She competed for the Oregon Ducks college team. There, she earned many All-American honors. In 2015, she finished third in the 100-meter race. She also placed fourth in the long jump at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Early Life and High School Success

Jasmine Todd was born in San Diego, California. She grew up in Chandler, Arizona. Her parents, Larry and Kim Todd, were also college track athletes. This meant Jasmine grew up in a very sporty family.

She started track and field early. At Chandler High School, she won many titles. She was a champion in the long jump, triple jump, and 100-meter dash.

Winning High School Championships

Jasmine won seven individual titles for the Chandler Wolves. Her team won four straight state championships. These were the Arizona Interscholastic Association team crowns.

Jasmine won the triple jump state title three times. She won in 2009, 2010, and 2011. She also won the long jump state title twice, in 2010 and 2011.

In 2012, as a senior, she jumped 20 feet, 1.5 inches in the long jump. This was her best high school jump. It was the 8th best jump in the country for high school athletes.

As a junior in 2011, Jasmine set an Arizona record. She jumped 41 feet, 5 inches in the triple jump. This was the 5th best high school triple jump nationally that year. She was also ranked 10th in the long jump.

In 2010, as a sophomore, she won the Arizona state long jump title. Her jump was 19 feet, 11 inches. This was the 8th best mark nationally for high school athletes. She also won the 100-meter state title.

As a freshman in 2009, Jasmine won the triple jump state title. She also won the 100-meter state division I title.

College Career at Oregon

Jasmine started studying psychology at the University of Oregon. However, she missed most of her first two college seasons. This was due to an injury in 2012 and 2013.

Becoming a Top College Athlete

In 2014, Jasmine quickly became one of the best college athletes. At the 2014 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, she placed sixth in the long jump. She also finished third in the 60-meter dash. Her time of 7.16 seconds was one of the top fifteen globally that year.

She won the 100-meter dash at the Mt. SAC Relays. Her personal record was 11.25 seconds. She also helped her Oregon team win the 4×100-meter relay.

In 2015, Jasmine was again third in the 60-meter dash. This was at the NCAA Indoor Championships. She also won a regional title in the 60-meter dash.

At the Pac-12 championships that year, she won the 100-meter race. She also won the triple jump with a best of 13.10 meters. She came in second in the long jump.

Making it to the World Championships

Jasmine reached new heights at the 2015 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She surprised many by finishing third in the 100-meter race. She set a new personal best of 10.92 seconds. She also set another personal best in the long jump, reaching 6.84 meters. She finished fourth in that event.

Because of these great results, she was chosen to compete in both events. This was for the 2015 World Championships in Athletics.

Jasmine graduated from Oregon in May 2016. She finished her college career after her team won the outdoor track and field Pac-12 Conference title.

Professional Career

In October 2016, Jasmine Todd joined Altis. This is a training group in Phoenix. In 2022, she also joined Citius Mag, a track and field media company.
