College and NBA Draft

This trade was in exchange for David Vaughn and two draft picks. Some of the Bulls' star players, like Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman, were not happy about this trade.

Before the 1998-99 NBA season began, Caffey signed a new contract with the Warriors. He played very well during the 1999–2000 season. He achieved his career bests, averaging 12.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
