Jason Clarke (born July 17, 1969) is an Australian actor who has starred in many popular movies and TV shows. He is known for his role as Tommy Caffee in the TV series Brotherhood. Clarke often plays serious or tough characters, including villains.

You might have seen him in big movies like Zero Dark Thirty (2012), White House Down (2013), and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014). He also played the famous character John Connor in Terminator Genisys (2015) and the lawyer Roger Robb in Oppenheimer (2023). In 2022, he played basketball legend Jerry West in the HBO series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.

Early Life and Education

Jason Clarke was born in the small town of Winton, in Queensland, Australia. His father was a sheep shearer, a job that involves shearing wool from sheep in the countryside of South Australia.

His family later moved to North Queensland, where he finished high school. After school, Clarke started studying to become a lawyer in 1987. However, he discovered a passion for acting and decided to change his career path. He left his law studies to enroll in an acting school in Sydney and later graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne in 1994.

Clarke began his acting career on Australian television. He appeared in many popular shows, including Murder Call, Home and Away, Heartbreak High, and Blue Heelers. These roles helped him gain experience and become a familiar face to Australian audiences. He also acted in Australian films like Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002).

Hollywood Success

Clarke's talent soon took him to Hollywood. One of his first major American roles was in the TV series Brotherhood, where he played one of the main characters from 2006 to 2008.
