Jason Freese (born January 12, 1975) is an American musician who plays many instruments. Since 2004, he has played keyboards and saxophone for the famous punk rock band Green Day when they go on tour. Jason has played on more than 50 albums! He often plays saxophone and keyboards for artists like Green Day, Dr. Dre, Pitbull, Avenged Sevenfold, Goo Goo Dolls, and Jewel.

Early Life and Family
Jason Freese was born on January 12, 1975, in Orange County, California. His father, Stan Freese, was the leader of the Disneyland Band. Later, his dad became a talent booker for the park. Jason's mother, Trisha Freese, is a concert pianist and a writer. His older brother, Josh Freese, is also a well-known drummer.
When Jason and his brother were young, they spent their summers at Disneyland. They watched their father perform with the Disneyland Band. Sometimes, they even joined in with plastic toy instruments! Both brothers later got jobs shining shoes for the park employees.
Jason's Musical Journey
Jason Freese went to Brookhaven Elementary School, Tuffree Middle School, and El Dorado High School. He then started college at California State University, Fullerton. When he was 23, he had a great chance to go on tour with Joe Walsh. Joe Walsh is a famous musician from the band The Eagles. Jason left college to take this amazing opportunity.
After touring with Joe Walsh, Jason joined the band Goo Goo Dolls. The Goo Goo Dolls had the same manager as Green Day. This connection helped Jason start working with Green Day.
Playing with Green Day
Jason Freese has been a studio musician and touring member for Green Day since 2004. This means he plays with them in the studio when they record albums and also joins them on their live tours. .....
Jason mostly plays saxophone, piano, and keyboards for Green Day. He has also helped produce music for other artists. For example, he produced parts of Jewel's 2009 album Lullaby. He also worked on Death by Stereo's 2009 album Death Is My Only Friend.

Jason Freese has played many different instruments on over 50 albums for various artists. He often plays saxophone and keyboards.
