Jean Cote, also sometimes spelled Jean Côté, is a very small community called a hamlet in northern Alberta, Canada. A hamlet is a type of settlement that is smaller than a village or town. It is located in an area known as the Municipal District of Smoky River No. 130. This district is a local government area in Alberta.
Jean Cote is found about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) (about 7 miles) west of Highway 2. It is also located 123 kilometres (76 mi) (about 76 miles) northeast of a larger city called Grande Prairie.
