Jean Morzadec (born February 25, 1953 – died November 13, 2020) was a talented French singer, songwriter, writer, and journalist. He was known for his work in radio and for creating a special website called "Le Choix de Librairies." This website helped people discover great books. He worked with big media companies like 20 minutes and France Info to make it a success.

Jean Morzadec lived in several countries, including England, Guatemala, and Greece. He took on different small jobs during his time there.

His Career in Radio

In 1975, Jean joined France Inter, a popular French radio station. He worked as a director and producer. This meant he helped create and manage radio shows. He worked with many famous people like Claude Sérillon and Stéphane Bern.

Later, in 1998, he became the director of "98 Radio France." This special radio team covered the exciting 1998 FIFA World Cup football tournament. The President of Radio France chose him for this important role.

In 1999, Jean Morzadec became the director of programming for France Inter. He was in charge of deciding what shows and music would be played. During his time, the radio station started playing much more music.

Creating Websites and Apps

In 2006, Jean Morzadec created a website called www.lechoixdeslibraires.com. He worked with France Inter and Le Monde, a major newspaper, on this project. The website was all about helping people find good books.

He also started the Agence audiovisuelle du livre. This agency created cool content about books. They made written articles, audio clips, and videos related to publishing and selling books.

In 2011, Jean made his website even more accessible. He created an app for iOS (like iPhones) and Android phones. He partnered with Orange S.A., a big telecommunications company, for this app.

His Music Journey

In 2013, a filmmaker named Olek Yaromova encouraged Jean Morzadec to share his own songs. He performed a show called "Le Fleuve tendre" at the Théâtre de Nesle in Paris. Olek Yaromova filmed this show. Jean was joined by pianist Alceo Passeo and cellist Chloé Boyaud, who played music with him.

Jean also used YouTube to thank his fans and everyone who encouraged him to sing. On March 17, 2015, he recorded a concert with the Alliance française for a CD album.

Jean Morzadec passed away on November 13, 2020, when he was 67 years old.
