Jeff Coopwood is an American actor, singer, and teacher. He was born on June 29, 1958. He is also known for his voice work in popular movies and video games.

Early Life and School Days
Jeff Coopwood was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1958. His mother, Louise Riley, was a radio host and actress. She even worked with famous people like Eartha Kitt on Broadway. His father, Jesse Coopwood, was a well-known jazz and talk radio host.
Even though he was born in Chicago, Jeff grew up in Miami, Florida. He went to Miami High School. In his last year of high school, he was named the "Best Actor" in Florida. He was also a top student in speech and debate. He won state championships three times!
Jeff then went to the University of Miami. He earned a special degree in theatre. While he was there, he also sang with the Florida Grand Opera. He performed with many famous opera singers, including Luciano Pavarotti and Plácido Domingo.
A Career of Many Talents
After college, Jeff traveled around the country. He performed in a big Broadway show called "Timbuktu!" He acted in many other plays across the United States and Canada.
Jeff also spent time teaching. He coached students in speech and debate at many top universities. Some of these included Harvard University and Northwestern University. His students won many awards. Jeff was even named "National Coach of the Year" twice!
Later, Jeff returned to Chicago. He became a TV host for game shows. He hosted shows like $100,000 Fortune Hunt and Know Your Heritage. These shows were seen across the country on WGN-TV. He was even nominated for an Emmy award for his hosting!
Jeff then moved to Los Angeles. He studied broadcasting and TV production at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also earned another degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
Voice Acting in Star Trek and Star Wars
Jeff Coopwood has done a lot of voice acting. This means he uses his voice for characters in movies, TV shows, and video games. He was nominated for an Emmy award for his voice work in the TV movie Percy & Thunder.
He is one of the few actors who has worked on both the Star Wars and Star Trek series. This is a big deal for fans!
In the movie Star Trek: First Contact, Jeff was the voice of the Borg. His voice was used to create the famous line, "Resistance is futile." His voice was layered many times to make the Borg sound unique.
Jeff also voiced Captain Panaka in four Star Wars video games. He was the narrator for one of these games too.
