Early Life and High School
Jeff Trepagnier grew up in Los Angeles, California. He played basketball at Compton High School in Compton, California. This is where he first showed his talent for the sport.
College Basketball Career
After high school, Trepagnier went on to play college basketball for the USC Trojans. He was a key player for their team. Besides basketball, he also competed in high jump. In 2000, he placed second at the Pac-10 Championships. He jumped 7 feet 1 inch, which was one of the best jumps in USC school history.
Professional Basketball Journey
Jeff Trepagnier was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2001 NBA draft. He was a second-round pick. Even though he was a talented player, some scouts thought he was a bit short for an NBA shooting guard.
