Jefferson Pointe Shopping Center is a fun outdoor shopping area in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It's called a "lifestyle center" because it has many different things. You can find stores, restaurants, and entertainment all in one place. It sits between Apple Glen Boulevard, West Jefferson Boulevard, and Illinois Road.
Some of the main stores you'll find here are Barnes & Noble (a bookstore), Bed Bath & Beyond (for home goods), AMC Theatres (a movie theater with IMAX), Marshalls (a discount store), Michaels (for crafts), and Von Maur (a department store). A company called RED Development first built Jefferson Pointe. Now, UCR CBRE helps manage it.

Exploring Jefferson Pointe
Jefferson Pointe opened in two parts. The first part welcomed shoppers in August 2001. The second part opened about a year later. When it first opened, some stores that were already in Fort Wayne at Glenbrook Square also opened a second spot here. These included places like Victoria's Secret, Buckle, GameStop, and Bath & Body Works. Most of these stores are still at Jefferson Pointe today.
Over the years, some stores moved or closed. But new and exciting places have always joined. For example, Marshalls and a store called Simply Mac (which sells Apple products) are newer additions. You can also find unique shops like Petshion Boutique and The Nut House. A relocated Old Navy and an art gallery have also opened their doors. This keeps Jefferson Pointe a busy and popular place to visit.
Unique Features and Fun Facts
Jefferson Pointe has been home to many "firsts" for Fort Wayne. It was the first place in the city to have a Barnes & Noble bookstore. It also had the first Panera Bread restaurant and the first ULTA beauty store.
If you love movies, you'll be happy to know Jefferson Pointe has the only IMAX theater in the area. This special movie screen was added in 2011. The shopping center also had the very first Vera Bradley store in Indiana. Vera Bradley is a famous brand that started right here in Fort Wayne!
You can also find special stores at Jefferson Pointe that are not common everywhere. These include places like Chico's, Eddie Bauer, White House Black Market, Soma Intimates, LOFT, and Talbots.
Delicious Food Options
For a while, Jefferson Pointe had a small food court. But it wasn't very popular because there were so many other great restaurants nearby. In 2012, the food court was replaced. Now, you can enjoy Tucanos Brazilian Grill there. There's also a fun play area for kids!
Jefferson Pointe has many other tasty places to eat. You can grab a meal at Biaggi's or Smokey Bones. There's also Flat Top Grill, Cold Stone Creamery for a sweet treat, and McAlister's Deli. If you're looking for fast food, you'll find Burger King and Chick-fil-A. For a fancier meal, there's Eddie Merlot's, and for pizza lovers, Rosati's pizza.
Nearby Shopping
Right across Apple Glen Boulevard from Jefferson Pointe is another shopping area called Apple Glen Crossing. Even though it's very close, it's actually a separate shopping center with different owners. Many people think of it as part of Jefferson Pointe because they are so close.
Apple Glen Crossing has some big stores too. You can find Walmart for groceries and general goods. There's also Kohl's for clothing and home items, Best Buy for electronics, and PetSmart for all your pet needs.
