Jem and the Holograms is a 2015 American musical fantasy film. It was directed by Jon M. Chu and written by Ryan Landels. The movie stars Aubrey Peeples as the main character, Jem. Other stars include Stefanie Scott, Hayley Kiyoko, Aurora Perrineau, Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald, and Juliette Lewis.
This film takes ideas from the 1980s animated TV show called Jem. That show was created by Christy Marx. The movie was made by Hasbro Studios and Blumhouse Productions. Director Jon M. Chu wanted to make this film because he grew up watching the original cartoon with his sisters.
